Our blockchain-based security and privacy framework is designed to revolutionize secure communication by providing immutable data integrity, decentralized trust, and robust encryption. By leveraging blockchain, we ensure tamper-proof logging of critical data transfers, making it ideal for applications in financial transactions, healthcare records, and other sensitive domains where data security is paramount. Additionally, our framework integrates both post-quantum and quantum cryptographic techniques, making it resilient against emerging threats from quantum computing. This dual-layered cryptographic approach ensures that communication remains secure against both classical and quantum attacks, future-proofing data privacy in an increasingly interconnected world. With this innovation, we aim to set a new standard for secure, real-time communication across industries.

Today, many businesses and organizations deploy chatbots that lack sophistication, often relying on rule-based or generic models that fail to understand domain-specific queries. This gap highlights the need for smarter, easily trainable chatbot frameworks that can quickly adapt to business-specific contexts while maintaining high accuracy and engagement.

We propose developing a chatbot framework leveraging OpenAI’s APIs and pre-trained transformer models like BERT and DistilBERT to provide businesses and organizations with a more intelligent, domain-specific conversational AI. The framework will allow rapid fine-tuning using a smaller, business-specific corpus, ensuring context-aware responses tailored to customer needs. It will expose REST APIs, enabling seamless integration with websites and applications for real-time interactions. By combining OpenAI’s generative capabilities with transformer-based retrieval models, our approach ensures accurate, efficient, and scalable chatbot solutions that significantly enhance customer engagement and satisfaction.

In many off-grid and rural regions, reliable access to electricity remains a challenge, and ensuring the efficiency and safety of solar PV systems is critical. Our R&D project focused on developing an intelligent Solar PV system monitoring and control solution tailored for the Uganda market. We designed and built a standalone solar PV system integrated with a mobile application, a hardware hub, and control circuitry that enables real-time data acquisition and remote control of solar panels, including turning them on/off. The system captures key parameters such as voltage levels and fault diagnostics, allowing users to proactively detect and mitigate potential issues. Remote monitoring is particularly crucial for enhancing safety, as it reduces the need for manual inspections in hazardous environments and enables predictive maintenance to prevent failures. By leveraging IoT-driven automation, our solution improves energy reliability, operational efficiency, and user accessibility, making sustainable energy more viable and manageable for communities in need.
